Revision: the Galop 5 exam
On the day, the point is not to recite everything but to show that you are precise and independent. Here is how to check that everything is in place.
On exam day
- Your instructor decides how it is run: an exam session, or assessment as you go, module by module if they wish.
- Riding: the shared requirements and the three parts. Groundwork and care: presenting in hand, lunging, long reins, loading, stable bandages.
- Knowledge: spoken, written or on the spot — “Show me the microchip”, “Which bit is this?”
- Prepare your horse yourself: your independence is part of the assessment.
